Knock sensors with yellow arrows, its ok you don’t have to take the engine out.

superb,
cheers for that link,
halfrauds strike again, went in there yesterday to get a haynes manual and after 15 mins of looking in there folders they tell me that haynes dont do one for the toyota supra at all :duck:
Halfords won’t have them but ebay will, the CD repair manuals on ebay are better, you can also get a Toyota parts catalogue on CD. do a search on ebay. Or use the on line catalogue

oh my god,
ive just found the sensors and guess what,
one cable was loose, but worse was , the one next to the gearbox oil dip stick was not even connected, the cable and connector had been shoved up away from the sensor, ive now connected it , reset the ecu and , WAHOOOOO no more engine fault,
thanks alot people , this site has already proved very helpful,
:notworthy
that haynes manual isnt really much good. it covers the celica supra aswell as the supra. lots of stuff like "heres a picture of a celica supra engine" (7mgte engine simillar) and other such crap. It can be handy but you should either use the site linked above or buy a copy off ebay of that actual book
