Are all supras sprayed white when first made?
Just started on the rear wheel arches - well one of them anyway - scraping away the bubbling paint and then started sanding down.
To somewhat confuse me the paint layers from the metal up were white - red - white - red!
It is red inside, and also inside the doors, so unless it has been completely stripped down and resprayed - I now have a multi colour wheel arch.
Just waiting for the anti rust coating (jenolite) to dry on the metal( 30 mins - time for a coffee and fag break) and then I am off to spray the first coat of filler primer to see what, if any needs filling, before layering a few more coats on to get the stripped part up to near the final layer level.
Another thing to mention as a warning to any lazy owners (as if there are with supe owners) and it's most probably been mentioned many times b4 - you need to regularly clean out those wheel arches - especially behind the moulded body parts at the bottom - the amount of crap that had settled in there was unbelievable - no wonder they rust!
ps happy to say it is nowhere near as bad as Mac's old white, er black, er white one :)
