The one blocked by a bolt is to do with the heater on a LH drive car. Toyota originally fitted a universal metal pipe at the back of the block which was open at both ends. Depending on which side drive the car was the spare end was blanked with a poxy little rubber cap that had a tendency to split. Most owners replaced the cap with a length of heater hose blocked with a bolt.

On later models, the dual-ended pipe was replaced with a single ended one specifically for left or right hand drive.

Looks like someone has bypassed the heater matrix or the weird heater servo unit ???

The cut pipe (bottom pic) is the drain for the aircon matrix, this allows the water that drops out during cooling to run out of the car instead of into the footwell!

This is the pipe that causes that small pool of water under your car when you,ve been running the air con for a while, it should be clear of blockages otherwise you risk passengers getting wet feet!

ah I see, wouldn't know about the pool of water though cos the aircon dont bloody work lol

think it just needs regassing, just need to get someone round to do it but more things to do before I spend £70 on it and then find out it leaks or something.

I keep my fingers crossed for you that the system dont leak! I got a hole in my front A/C rad a few years ago, had to get a new one, Comedy price £520 from Toyota! :banghead: they were kind to me, fitted it and regassed free of charge.

Had a weird one a few months ago tho, the end part of the magnetic clutch flew off as I exited a rounderbout doing about 80, made a dent in the road and never did find it! had to get another one from a scrappy for £5! I check the nut is tight from time to time now!
