Power steering pump

I understand (am led to believe) ((think it could possibly be so))(((may have been told))) that the PS pump on the JZA70 is the same as the JZA80.
can anyone confirm this.

i dunno.. apparently yes. Supraforums is your friend here.

BUT before you rule out the power steering pump.. clean out the reservoir first.. it gets blocked up with gunk and causes groaning, frothing and other problems (there is a mesh filter at the bottom).

Thanks ADI mine is only operating as single speed not variable (quite heavy) are these serviceable?

if its only single speed i'd check vacuum lines, speed sensor etc first. Have you had a kmh/mph conversion?
