As a previous 1G owner i found one problem is sourcing parts in the UK as most after market suppliers dont list the GA70 supra in their lists .. also sourcing engine mechanical parts can be problematic leaving you at the mercy of your local Toyota dealship.

Here will be added by myself and members alike a list of compatable service parts and engine mechanicals such as Lexus IS200 engine parts, and standard MA70 service items such as filters, etc etc

Please keep this thread on topic and free of banter

Thanks, Ed.

Good thread ;)

For starters, plugs are the same as a 7M-GTE, as are the oil filters. If you have a REV 3 engine injectors are the same as a later 7M-GE. If you spin a bearing (oil supply to the mains car be blocked it maintenance is neglected) fear not, the uk IS200 crank is exactly the same. - IS200 water pumps will also fit and work, BUT the cam cover won't fit with it properly.

If you have a manual and need a new gearbox, a UK W58 fits fine - you will just need to keep your bellhousing. the clutch plate is also the same part number as the uk N/A cars, - but the presure plate and flywheel are different. (these are rev 3 observations)

Radiators are the same as UK cars, -but the fan shrouds are not.

errrrrrrm that'll do for now. I'll add more/tidy up as I go along.

Ngk plug leads for a 7m-ge from the states fit just fine, and cost about £35 shipped.

Pm'ed Bermy.

MA70 calipers are a bolt on fit with 300mm disks. Worthwhile upgrade for performance and availablility!

Suspension components are also all the same! HAs MA70 springs and now moved to MA70 coilovers that work lovely on my narrowbodied GA70.

Think that is quite normal with most mk3's.

You can use the GA70 calipers, it's just the carriers you need to change to get the calipers over the bigger discs.

As raised in another post, here's a couple of useful part numbers

oil filter part # is 90915-20003

spark plug part numbers are 2330 BCPR6ES or 7ES depending on tuning (6's for std engine)
