Hijack: Anyone heard of Hydra EMS? Someone was trying to sell it to me as as the best thing for my 2JZ - I'm a little dubious, it's a pair of 16bit processors running at 25Mhz but then if the software's ok (and I mean the software on the ECU, not the bit that does the programming) it may do the trick

Seen them go on ebay for around $800, though yet to see a 2jzgte specific Hydra Ecu loom. They come with a preset basemap to get you going, and do a full closed and open loop autotune using the supplied wideband sensor. Boost control is also available. But wether or not its p'n'p with the 2jz trigger sensors and igniters is another question.

Speaking of igniters - do you have any lying around for the 2JZ? I think I'm going to need a unit for mine.

I've been investigating the new Link G3 ECU and it looks pretty tasty as well as the Emerald M3D, not sure what to go with yet, I might have to mortgage my soul and get a motec unless you also happen to have a J-spec supra (jza80) tt manual loom and ecu lying around?
