During a brake pad check yesterday, I had both rear wheels off the ground (to align the access hole and brake shoe adjuster). Rotating one wheel caused the other to move in the same direction , where I'd have expected contrarotation. Is this normal with Supras? Everything else in the drive train and back axle is perfectly OK.

Thank you, Nick. I'd no idea how to check whether it has the two-pinion, four-pinion, or LS differential fitted. It's not listed in the original documentation, and I couldn't tell from the external casing.

Do a big smokey wheelspin and see if both wheels spin or not, not an infallible test but a lot of fun :) (LSD will spin up both wheels.)

Or I think you can reference your chassis number against some site in NZ.

 I can do that anytime! I've got an in-and-out gravel driveway. Ain't doing it on the road, though, I know my limitations. :notworthy

Don't you have any supermarkets or retail parks nearby? :)

Or you could just look at the diff and see if it says LSD on it :cheeky:
