Hi,

I have bought a aftermarket alarm through Ebay and I have spent all weekend wireing it in.
First off I cut the old scorpion alarm out also a old immobilser then proceded to fit the new one which has a immobilser on it.
I have managed to get it up and running it arms, locks the doors and winds the windows up the sidelights also flash.Great but the problem I have is when I connect the door pin wire the thing goes off when either on or off.I connect it to the red and white wire which I belive is the right wire but as I say it just sets the alarm off permanant or if the alarm is switched off the sidelights just carry on flashing.
Anyone know of a cure for this as without this wire connected anyone can open the door and it won't go off untill the ign has been tripped.
Also before I satred wireing this in the in car boost gauge worked but now it doesnt goes to 0 when ign on but goes down when engine on.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks,

On the insatllion guide itjust says connect wire to door pin and bonnet switch.
Lookingthrough previous posts I came across the wireing diagram and it says the door pin is red and white in the drivers kickwell but no mention of other wires for this.
This is why it is so confuseing as when connected just sets the lights flashing.I was thinking do I need another relay?

I am handy with the spanners but wireing is not my forte

You possibly have the wrong red/whirte wire, there are a number in the kick panel connectors.

Have a look HERE (http://www.clickdesign.co.uk/supradupra/html/window_overide.html) on my site, half way down the page is some info on the door connectors detailing the correct red/white wire, see if this helps you any.

Thanks for that

Seems to make sense, I was spliceing in to the red white wire just behind the footwell if I use the block to see the wire first as this is a switched signal it may work.
I will give it a go when I have some spare time this work as back to work tommorrow,

Thanks for that will let you know how I get on once I have tried it, good looking site you have there by the way I shall have a root round later as there seems to be alot of helpful stuff on there.
