Is this just a fuel cut-deffender?

Hello all. Seeing the post about an ECU for sale I remembered that when I got my Supra, in with all the paperwork was a small chip in a little plastic container:

I've read many a time that there's no such thing as a chip for the Supra, other than one that just stops the fuel cut. Anyone ever seen anything like this before or have any idea what is does?

Yep - they seems to be a little non-existant now, don't they? Oh well. I shall just put it back in the box and forget about it.
