Hi,

I've just managed to buy a shed off Ebay!!

I've not picked it up yet, but hopefully it should be soonish. I've got plans for this. Well, plans for part of it ;)

Of course, I might decide to alter my plans and replace the engine and use this as my little track toy. Depends on the condition when I see it.

It's a 3.0 N/A 91 model. The engine apparently smokes badly but the HG has been replaced. That's why it's been sold.

I bought it for the running gear TBH. I have a FWD v6 (shhh!!) and it's got plans for a RWD conversion. There's a fair amount of cash in this other car (turbo'd, ECU replacement etc etc) so I'm loath to get rid of it.

Final plans are based around whether it's so structurally sound that it's almost hassle for hassle's sake doing the transmission swap on the other v6.

We'll see once it appears on the driveway. With no MOT or Tax I'm unlikely to drive it.

Also, I didn't mean anything degoratory when I called it a a shed. I just mean it's old and cost peanuts and isn't in A1 condition. Most old cars I like are 'sheds'. There's just so much potential for carnage.

True very true

dont under estimate the engine though if looked after it will give some decent power with rear wheel drive fun.
why not drop a turbo lump in with a few mods will make a decent track car.

Although i belive jim dropped a v8 in his and it looked and sounded the bolloc**

i shouldnt worry about calling it a shed mate.. unfortunately there are a lot of examples of this car on ebay which are exactly that...

It's arrived on my driveway and my first thoughts were 'wow, a lot of car'. It actually appears in pretty good shape and the transport guy reckons that it's just water coming out of the exhaust. (it's all white) and there might be some water in the petrol tank.

I've put some juice in and let her idle for a while. Nothing appears amiss although I do detect some hesitation when I blip the accelerator.

Having got her on the driveway I'm having seconds thoughts about ripping her apart and using the bits on my track car. Anyway, pictures soon.
