I made a pressure tester to check for leaks in the IC I got from GT. I pleased to confirm that there were none!
The parts were 1 x Pack of 4 rubber carpet protectors from B&Q, 1 x Metal Tyre Valve, and some clear silicone.
I connected the OEM hoses to the IC pipes, used a 1 rubber bung in 1 pipe, used my valve-bung in the other pipe and connected my electric pump. At around 10psi the standard bung shot about 15ft down the carpark. I repeated this a couple of times then decided to use a 2" can of switch cleaner instead. On the next attempt this too went around 15ft into a garage door. Once I retrieved it I pushed it further into the pipe and clamped in a bit tighter and managed to pump it up to over 15psi. I sprayed the outside of the IC with soapy water to check for leaks. Didn't find any and considered it a job well done plus I'd had some childish fun into the process.

sounds fun, some sort of mad 'engine cannon'
how far would it propel a correctly shaped spud? :)

err. also glad to hear its original research purpose turned out well too!
