Have autos got flywheels?

wel lthere is a funny little cog type wheel thing hehe..

The auto gets its mass from the Torque Converter, the ring gear is attached to a lightweight driveplate, which takes the place of the flywheel.
I seem to remember there is a really good description of it all at www.howstuffworks.com
