Three weeks ago i became the pround owner of a mrk3 3L single turbo 89' manual supra. Now this car is not quick! Y? For the beast it is it should be pulling a hell of alot more than it is!
Now it has a Bailys d/v which seems to be leaking.
Wats the best d/v??
Has no filter in the air box?
Wats the best induct. kit??
So if you could please offer any help to give this car some pull, coz it really dont seem to be running near a standard car!
Thanx lot coz im just :banghead: !!!

Best D/V, either the HKS SSQV or a cheaper alternative, the TurboXS RFL.
What makes you think the D/V is leaking??
Best induction kit VFM wise is the Apex'i, or just use a drop in panel filter.
What car did you have previously?? as these aren't that quick as standard.

Had a jap wrx!!
Can hear the leak!! IF I pinch the pipe 2 it the idle drops to a better level 2!
Is there any known things to check 4!! due to lack of power!??
Such as carbon build up, worn parts etc..

d/v hks, blitz etc.. what sound do u want?
K&N FIPK is good for the money
if u do get an k&n or what for the Intake system get an Exhaust to as the stock one is crap really slows the turbo spooling down, you get alot of hp from a ss one tc do good exhaust

I drove a completely stock turbo today (haven't for a long time) I'd forgotten how slow they were :crybaby:
Your WRX would seem alot quicker due to the weight advantage, and rev'ier engine I'd imagine.
What's the boost gauge reading?? any mods apart from the bov and no air filter??

Well it has a bleed valve on the boost so I have been playin, between 7.1-7.8 depending. What should it be?
Also has wat I think is a adj. fuel pressure regulator on the end of the fuel rail! Been fidlin again but have no way of finding out the setting!! Any ideas??

I wouldn't fiddle with the fuel pressure, and it's unusual to have an adjustable one on the fuel rail, can you get a pic??
Stock boost, should show between 6-7psi on the guage.
I personally wouldn't turn the boost up with the cats still in place.

?? and allways check before you post :duck: :duck:
Apart from the lack of power, how does it drive?
Does it lurch or anything?
I only ask, as having no air filter can't be very good for the AirFlowMeter.
Welcome, by the way :action-sm

Guys needed some help again please!!
If u remember I was saying that the car feels like it lacks power?
Well today I descover that the BVSV is not conected nor is the EGR system!
Would really like to know if this would have aby effect on performance?? (sorry if this is a silly question!)
I have been trying to work the route with a copy of a workshop manual that I have on my p.c, but really cant make head nor tail of it!! Would be great if I could get some under bonet shots of this route from u guys along with a photo of fuel rail as a seem to have a fuel regulator on the fuel rail nearest to the rad and what seems to be an adjustable reg on the other end of the rail!!!>?????
Be great for any feed back and info...
Cheers Russ  :umm: :duck:

What's a BVSV???
EGR not connected won't affect performance, infact, it's a mod.

Ok! Cool...
Not got a clue wat a BVSV is as such??
But according to my p.c workshop (which if think is total schite) it is the screw-in sensor/valve that is located on the front left of the lump. Water runs through the housing it sits in, maybe this is where the thermostat is,, i don't know! It has two small luga coming of it where two small pipes should attach One of which should go to a Charcoal Canister????...
Sorry about the poor description!!!
Yep, that's your thermostat housing, don't worry about the charcoal canister, the UK cars didn't have 'em.
I think you'll find that very few of us have any pipes going to the bit that sits on the thermo housing
