Hello all, I'm Laurence, I'm a friend of the one that calls himself Hoofy.
I intoduced him to the idea of getting the beautiful Supra. At the same time unknowingly introduced my girlfriend to the idea too. So now She owns a late White Auto. And its a peach.
However here's already a to do list. Did a few little easy jobs today, like fixing the boot latch and checking pad wear.
There's still lots to do. Which include,
Rear shock bushes,
Front bushes (one on each side, not sure which one yet, was on MOT),
door wind noise,
Water "swishing" noise in the dash,
and a few dash illuminations.
I'm sure i'll be asking many questions over the next few weeks.
Now i need a faster car, as she is faster than me!
Nice to meet you all.

Hello and welcome etc :)
For starters the door wind noise will never go completely, bit of a design fault with the mirrors/seals!
You can squeeze the window seals by the mirrors together a bit with some mole grips or pliers. That's what most of us have done and it helps
Pop round mine mate, i only live on The Firs :D
i had a really bad noise problem with the wing mirrors. once id done the thing with the mole griops it was gone. the whoosy water noise is air in the coolant. could be a number of things. Try a search for more info
laurence!
i know where you live! and that we should solve supra problems together! ps. have u got a soldering iron??

Yes mate, Its all yours, its at ollie's at the mo.
The water swirling problem is gone, just filled the water up to the top and put a little in the expansion bottle.
I've just been to look a supra with my housemate, and he's bought one aswell. Its really well looked after but has a rust arches and a blown head gasket. cant wait to get started on it.

The swishy water noise is a air lock, you want to get that sorted quick, could be pointing to all manor of nastys... or hopfuly some thing and nothing
Do a search for "burping" water system

I came by your way on new years day, saw your lovely car, i thought it might be a bit much saying hello, what with it being new years day an all. But we will meet, and i want to ask you all about my girlfrinds car.
