This was an excellent show last year and we've been asked to return this year.
Not a lot of details at the mo other than this is an invitational show with the very best cars of the club required on the stand along with some dedicated club members with or without cars :)
The official website is here http://www.classiccarshow.co.uk/
but just a little about last years show on it at the mo.

let me know more details when you know them ben.
When you say invitational, is that for your car to get on the stand??

Is this just for stock looking cars or are modded ones invited. Not sure if mine is good enough but i hope to have most of my jobs done before May

generally this is an excellent show, but anyone putting themselves forward for it MUST be aware that it will cost money to do. You need to factor in the cost of hotel accomodation for the duration of the show as well as all your other expenses.
I guess we spent out between £200-300 on this show (without the sponsorship of the stand)

Invitational shows are explained here http://www.forum.mkiiisupra.net/showthread.php?t=16100
Space its strictly limited at this show to 5 or 6 cars max. Cars can be modded or standard but the main thing is have to be pretty much mint and ideally a good variety of models.
Decisions will be made later in the year.

I recieved confimation today we do have a stand again this year. We're in hall 4 in a much better spot than last year.
As this is invitational, the committee really need to start considering which cars to show so I hope anyone interested has sent photos in for consideration and a few big hints :D
Remember though as Kev said, you'll have to pay for at least 3 nights in hotel, food and traveling to and from show every day (cost me at over £200 last year) so this needs real commitment ;)

Well unfortunatley as there's only 2 people willing to commit to the show, I'm afraid it's a no go :(.
The contract had to be signed and returned to NEC this week but the club cannot take the risk of booking and paying for an empty stand
So thanks Si for the offer but I think the stands a big for just the 2 of us :).

We could do donuts!!!!!!
What a shame really enjoyed last year and was fantastic exposure for the club, I think we gained a few forum memebers and a few club members too.

Yup I'm gutted, a really great show that will be missed but I suppose not everyone is able to dig deep enough in their pockets for it and I know most people on here don't like commiting to anything 2 weeks away, let alone 6 months away! :)
A great oportunity missed!

Another point might be that not all our cars are in great enough shape to put on such a stand. I would love to have mine on there but alas it has bhg and needs more paint in certain areas. It's just not ready, and may never be good enough.

I know there are plenty of very show worthy cars on the forum but no one even put their cars up for consideration to the committee (well 1 did:)).
