lumpy gears

While my gearbox seems to be fairly lumpy all the time (not exactly silky smoothy), changing 1st->2nd, or 2nd->1st while moving is particularly difficult at times.. (even to the point of needing a good heft to get it in gear)

I guess theres no easy fix like putting nice new synth oil in...?

mine is very similar...

i know on mine the thrust bearing is shot... im not sure if thats coursing the problem .. i just did not have the cash to replace it when i put the engine back togeather :(....

you can try redline gearbox oil.. MT90 i think. some people sys it helps quite a lot but takes 2-3 months to have any effect.

got to be worth a shot, cheaper than having the gearbox out! (and its probably due a fluid change anyway!)
