Engine Paint

Hi all i started spraying a few bits from my 2.0tt engine thats currently undergoing a rebuild. Im using a high temperature red paint on the heat shields and a few other bits only problem is its matt. does anyone know if i ban use a laquer on top of this paint to give it a bit of shine or can anyone recomend a better paint, Im looking to get a nice deep shiny red but the one im using is very pale.

Hi,

I did this to my old Celica GT4 without the laquer - around the general bay area normal laquer is fine. However on things like heat sheilds, manifolds ect you will need high temp stuff. I found some on the internet just searching under high temp paint. Trouble is it was going to take 2-3 weeks to come through - so in the end I didnt bother!. The only other gloss stuff I know is from Demon Tweeks but dont think you get much variety in colour.
