Ello all I am back from a day and a bit at JAE, well burnt and well fed and watered,

Got a few pictures from Today, Been lovely and Hot with blue skies and sunshine, and a cooling sea breeze,

A good turn out too, about 20 supra's on our stand and 2 more on the stand opposite,

It was gr8 to be able to actually go to a meeting,AND have my supra for the journey,i have now clocked up 503 miles in it,since picking it up !!,gr8 to meet some of you guys too !!,was a very good day,i thouroughly enjoyed the quality time, now ive just got in from my gig,i gotta say,i didnt really need to set my flashing lights up,COZ I AM GLOWING LIKE A FRIGGING BOLISHA BEACON !!, er yeah i caught the sun !!, sheila,s polishing couldnt get my head any shinier !! ooer missus !!,perhaps i should re phrase that !!

I was gutted i had to go when i did,and,when i got to the exit,i had to wait for half hour anyway,coz there was a wedding down the road,and the local council told the organisers not to let anyone off,until they gave the all clear !!,i am bloody red though !!,sunburnt badly,i didnt need any lights at my gig,as my head and neck was really giving it some !!!, and still is !!!
anyway, what happened with the final judging ? anyone ?

I'm back in one piece and also a bit well done :)

Bit of an iffy start to weekend being moved and all our stand layout plans going out the window but soon got sorted out and was great.
For me it was one of the best JAEs of the past 6 years I've been :yes:
The only let down was the 1am noise curfew even though the show was clearly promoted as no curfew. Even so, we still had a few hours of Supra Karaoke and yes plenty of pics will be shown :)

A very big thank you to everyone that made the effort to come, it wouldn't happen without you. I think we had 21 supras on stand at one point which is about the same as last year.

See you next year :D

Nice to wake up in me own bed, But saying that i cant wait till the next one as i had an EXCELLENT time, venue (apart from show n shine arena too small) was superb, very clean toilet facilities was a pleasant suprise! excellent company, music all weekend too, and did i eat, boy did i eat! lol

A huge thanks to Kev and Shiela for the work they put into it, And a huge thanks to Ben too for all his time as event orgoniser, without these guys it probably wouldnt have happened and i for one am very greatfull, thanx guys..............

One of my favourite memories will be Stevieboy on his hands and knees trying to light GT's overfueling exhaust fumes with a gas lighter when we decided to have a biggest flame competition, think GT did a 4 footer but with at that time fuel dripping from the exhaust it was a foregone conclusion, LOL

I caught John trying to get Shiela's attention while Jane lets down the caravan's tyres!

Not too much to say, didn't get any photos :(
Summed up; Great weekend, great company, as usual. Its what makes Supra ownership, that little bit special. Can't wait for the next one!

On top of that, how many events can you go to and get your car fixed over the weekend? Well I have, Mark has worked tirelessly on my car, so for that I'm grateful too.

well..hada pukka weekend with great company and atmosphere..very relaxing and pieceful..the weather just made the whole event into a successful weekend..
EVEN if mark slept in a chalet..(COWARD)lol.lol.
would like to say thanx to BEN,KEV N SHEILA and everybody else for making us feel very welcome and a great weekend and even when the sunburn wears of we'll still remember the hot & dry 2008 JAE event..
also my dorta looked like she had a great time and i hope she didnt annoy anybody..a special thanx must go to ann for adopting our little one for the weekend or shall i say bailey adopting ann & many thanx for the teddybear..after our showers n stuff bailey decided to bath teddy aswell..poor bear..lol..still aint put it down..bless!!
was also good to put faces to some names at last..am defo looking forward to the next large event as this weekend shows that we can alll get together and have a great weekend..(SHAME ON ALL THOSE WHO DIDNT MAKE IT)!!..you missed a good thing.

Great weekend, as far as I can remember!

Good to see a few new faces, and a lot of old ones. Again, thanks to Kev, Sheila and Ben for al their work. Thanks to everyone else who has put in the hours to get their cars into a fit state to make it to JAE and make them look as good as they did. I think a lot of the visitors were impressed by the quality and condition of the cars, especially as they are now some of the oldest at the show, especially compared to some of the Show cars which had almost just come out of the showroom (like the Aygo!).

Whereas a lot of clubs had booked originally for loads of cars then only had around 10% turn up, we still managed to keep our numbers up to about the same as last year.
Anne loved it, and said she will even try it under canvas next year :cheeky:

For the select few who stayed to watch Mark perform surgery on Gawaine's wiring loom, it was good to see the car running and idling without sending a smokescreen and flames across the site. :cool:

I think also a special "Bravery" award should go to Dave the rave for testing his rev limiter, as we all did, with suspected rod knock.
Bravery (or the other) indeed...lol

None of us could get John89t drunk enough to hand over his keys, we did try :D lol

yeah,that is one nice vehicle !!, hey as for the bravery award,i think i came close offering to put my cardboard coffee cup in the boot for kev and sheila,to go with their other cups n trophies in their maroon car !!, kevs look just said it all !!!, that momentary glance said more than a million daggers ever could !!!

Reckon they liked you mate, only got one on my knee, didn't swell up like that either. Must be cuz you slept in the hotel not the tent!

that was sunday morning standing at GTs aero down the hill, they always like that on me when on or near a joint!! was on antibiotics last year for knee and the year before for ankle it was so bad,

What a weekend! Havn't had that much fun for a while. Other than the unscheduled curfew we both had a great time. The curfew may have been for the best tho (think id had enough to drink that night :))

Not sure that was bravery mark, im just glad it started in the morning!

My pics are much of the same but i'll post them anyway. Theres also a video on the camera of a few of us killing a classic. i'll put that up when i work out how.

Thanks to Kev, Sheila, Ben and everyone else involved. Everyone made us both very welcome. Cant wait till next year!

Its already been said but thanks a million to Ben, Kev and Sheila for organising a cracking weekend. Really had a great time. Great to see so many Supras in such good condition.

I have to apologise for ruining so many classic songs tho!

Looking forward to next years already.

Had a really great time, great venue, great people, roll on next year! It was nice to be there with a car this time too as it felt much more personal to me than just supporting John. I'm really pleased with my two second place awards (only second to Sheila's award winning 2.0 twin turbo) and am looking forward to keeping the competition going and hopefully in the future trying to get a trophy of my own! I'm going to have to get busy with the washing and polishing and I'm sure John will help me with the "technical" stuff - I understand what most of it is but actually doing it might be a bit different. Thanks to Kev, Sheila and Ben for all the hard work they put in and I'm happy to help with anything to improve the club going forward.

What puzzles me most is who takes a coffee cup into the show and shine ring in the first place? Show, shine and cups of nescafe don't actually go together.

And by the way, the Trophies are ALL Sheila's, as is the car! all I do is get the glory of cleaning all the ucky bits under the car where the spiders live and Sheila fears to tread.

well i had just got a coffee,and was walking through that courtyard,and all the cars just started to come in !!,i thought i was in one of those american cop thrillers,where the hero gets surrounded by all the villains,usually in an isolated spot in an underground car park,and usually trials motorbike,s,and then his best m8 and partner, gets cut up with a sword !!,( er michael douglas' m8 andy garcia in black rain ?), well i thought i need to keep my eyes peeled here,and be alert,good job for the coffee then eh ?

but then it was like all of a sudden,i was in the big black angry captains office,with his trophy cabinet right in front of me, and like the rebel renegade cop,who has a disregard for all the rules,and is about to lose his gun and badge,and is suspended upon pending further investigation,the next scene is where he does something really cheeky, and "stoopid", to antagonise the already angry big black captain further !!,

Thing is,its tuesday now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,im still waiting for that scene,where its come back,all is forgiven,im the hero of the day,i get a distinguished medal of honour (in this case an extra extra large jae t shirt) and my gun and badge back,and set off in the to the sunset, (my sunburnt head permitting) with the girl !!!
