We'll probably have 1/2 hour drive, similar for James if he's going. I'll be in the Camry

JSeaman
21-10-08, 07:37 AM
As above, always a pleasure. Bit Celica dominated but a few nice cars there, think I'm going to leave the Yaris in the field next time :)

Dino
21-10-08, 09:17 AM
don't leave it in there as late as sean did the supra cos i had to go ask for a key to open the gate up to get it out lol, who know's maybe i'll have one there next time as well lol

JSeaman
21-10-08, 11:15 AM
:) Stayed til closing did ya?!

Would be nice to have a good mk3 turnout but I guess 3 is better than none

Dino
21-10-08, 01:52 PM
lol no we only had one more with paul an maria then left lol

was a good afternoon maybe in the summer get few more mk3's there was rather chilly lol

JSeaman
21-10-08, 04:25 PM
Yeah sounds good, I'll have my 1.5JZ by then :) Either that or still the Yaris!

bloater

Are you buying it then james?? :cheeky:

Dino
21-10-08, 09:28 PM
do what i said an i bet u drive it away ;)

JSeaman
22-10-08, 07:55 AM
Nah mate, too dodgy for me! Was sorely tempted though - can't leave the Yaris now I'm too attached :) I'll watch the latest auction but don't expect to be bidding on it. I'll still with my sports trike idea for now, then when I get cold I'll probably pop back to the GTO

Dino
22-10-08, 08:51 AM
lol u wanna supra come on just admit it, it's in ur blood i thought i could move away but oh no not a chance lol

JSeaman
22-10-08, 01:01 PM
Yeah tbh I'm struggling like hell not to! :) I've just got to remember how rubbish owning one is - high costs, always something to fix/break, insurance etc. Then again, I'm really saying this to the wrong people!!

Dino
22-10-08, 02:38 PM
lol u mean u get to play with ur toy lot's, it's really great owning one, an u feel like even more a part of the club lol

JSeaman
23-10-08, 07:23 AM
:) That's true, I'm almost vaguely tempted. Then again sports trike will be faster, cheaper and more unique. Don't get me wrong, someone's bound to drive their frigging land rover into it at some point and convince me to get a nice chunky car again but until then it's on the back burner (but still watching that 1.5JZ auction!)

Dino
23-10-08, 09:54 AM
in a supra it's only cold when u put the air con on. (or open window if air-con broke) with a trike it's cold all the time, in a supra u can just put the heating on (an providing u burped to coolent system u'll get heat)(( oh an providing u by passed that silly control for the heating on the firewall))

:D

bah i used to go to this meet every month, and be the only supra there ! now i sell it, and everyone starts going.. i'm beginning to get a complex :)

JSeaman
23-10-08, 01:22 PM
You see?! Nothing's easy on a Supra. Besides which I'll just wear another layer or six of clothes on the trike and I'll be so much quicker that I'll have warmed up by the time I'd have got there in the Supra!

Adi - We were just waiting for you to f*ck off :)

but if u go in the supra people will know u have style, an lot's of money to pay for the repair bill's or very very good with the spanner's lol

i thought i saw some mk3's turn up, reverse back, and drive off again now you mention it !
i should have hidden the car better...

does that big bloke still go? paul? drove a grey 200sx ... was there every month for ages..

JSeaman
24-10-08, 07:43 AM
:) Are you implyignt hat people see the Yaris and don't associate it with style, money and mechanic skills? How dare you ;)

As for you Adi, come along anyway just for the scintillating conversation and witty banter! Didn't see anyone matching Paul's description

Dino

WELLLLLLLLL

you said it  :D

it's more of a girl's car isn't it, if it was white it'd almost be as much of a hair dresser's car as a white supra ay kev ;)

JSeaman
24-10-08, 01:05 PM
It's a hardcore racing street sleeper. You'd never know it has 80 horsepower under the hood to look at it ... or drive it for that matter :)

I'd rather have Kev's car WITH the bra than that Yaris and that really is saying something ;)

Dino
24-10-08, 01:22 PM
pmsl that is saying something, 80 horsepower u wish lol

JSeaman
24-10-08, 01:41 PM
:) Yeah you're right, it's the GS economical model, something like 65 actually!!

I've changed my mind actually though, I don't think I coudl actually get in a car wearing a bra yet I've overcome that hurdle with the Yaris :)

Dino
24-10-08, 01:55 PM

yeah u couldn't put a bra on the yaris, the extra weight would mean 0-60 would be measured in days instead of the minutes it is currently measure'd in lol

JSeaman
24-10-08, 01:59 PM
Pah, I have up trying to measure 0-60 because I couldn't find a long enough downhill to get to speed!!

Hiya,

Just wondering if there's any meets happening soon anywhere in derbyshire or around sheffield.

Signman
16-08-09, 02:06 PM
As far as I know, The Bubble Inn itself closed down, not sure if it has affected all meets there.

Where abouts in Chesterfield are you? we are up at Lower Pilsley about 6 miles from Chesterfield centre

Closed for total refurb/makeover. Always busy, and a good local. Less than a mile down the road for me, but due to prev work schedule, infrequent visits only.
Look forward to it re opening soon though.
