Right, Carlton GSi injectors are 550s, I remember someone on here (mentioning no names ;)) saying they fit. Does anyone know if they really do? Cos I have a set sitting right next to me from my mate waiting to drop in! From what I can see the plugs are different but what about the actual fitting?

New to me, but if they are the same shape they might as the turbo sup will run high or low imp injectors.
The carlton ones IIRC are made by lucas?? and the PTE 550cc's are lucas. Your best bet is to get a sup one and compare....but if they do you will have discovered the biggest thing since the mr reimer uograde :cheeky:

I suppose anythings possible, but somehow I am doubtful. Incidentally Ben, I have a set of 550s here that you can have, in exchange for a set of 720s :D

I had a GSI 24v and they are NOT 550's (in fact knowone ever really knew what they were, even the guy who used to do the service exchange ones). The Lotus Carlton Might have been 550cc but I doubt they will fit a MK3 as AC Delco and Bosch were the order of the day. The ND injectors on the MK3 are a wierd twin spray cone affair. I was given a set of 720cc MK4 (Titan top mount rail required) ones to try and found the rail end is smaller and the pintle end much fatter on the MK3 440's.

Best to stick with the RC ones as a) they are the Lucus disc metering type and b) they are a kit and actually fit from the box after a bit of nip and tuck on the wiring loom.

Nod.
