Retro Show
Great show this one with everything from old Cortinas to Porsches and anything in between!
A bit different this year as it's Rotorstock on saturday then (if you like) camping over ready for Retro show the next day!!
Should be a great weekend if everyone makes the effort.
We need at least 10 cars each day to have a club stand, everyone is welcome on the stand as long as they bring a supra!
If you want to run the strip it's £25 on the day for UNLIMITED runs!

Prices are £14 per person for just one show OR only £24 each for the whole weekend including camping and a few live bands so may aswell do the lot!

Well saturday is the 11th not the 12th as in the main title

And yes i did read it properly thank you for pointing that out, as it happens the last time Saturday fell on the 12th was in 2008 and before that in 2003, this year Saturday is the 11th and on the 11th is Rotorstock, not as posted at the top of this thread!!!!!!!!

Well Bondy wins the mars bar for spotting my deliberate mistake :) just testing you all :duck:
I always go by the actual show calender (which was right) and just got mixed up when I cut and pasted the details.
All corrected accordingly now. RETRO SHOW IS SUNDAY ONLY!

Guys, Can I just turn up in a retro car and be part of the show without entering with a club, do they allow independant entries?
I've got an old lancia I wouldnt mind taking along to show and run up the strip but the only Lancia club going seems to be the 'Beta Boys' and mines not a Beta..
Im afraid im pulling out of Retro show guys, finances earmarked for MOT tax and insurance are now needed elsewhere!!

You can come in the Lancia BUT only way into "show" areas is through a club or unless your car is VERY special.
You'll have to park in the public parking I'm afraid BUT YOU CAN STILL RUN THE STRIP! Just sign up as early as poss then you'll get into the pit area.

Well as "no club stand" comment obviously went over everyones heads :) -
YES we still have enough cars for a club stand but please can all those signed up get payments in asap to secure tickets and places, I haven't got time to chase each individual up for every single show and it would be a shame for anyone to miss out :yes:

So I've just sorted all the tickets out and will be going 1st class recorded Wed morning.

would have been so so much easier too have said the meet time was 830 when asked will mean though that we'll be queing with all of the joe public as it open's to the public from 8 i do believe lol

Wasn't the meeting at the green dragon set up to discuss this type of thing. i dont want to que getting in as my engine will get hot and it'll burn more fuel than concorde did on take off.

I`m gonna aim for getting to the Ibis Maccy D`s for 08:00, it`s only 10 mins from there to the pod so leave there at say around 08:30 & that leaves enough time for a coffee & some scram then :D
You can almost always guarantee its mega busy to get into the Jap only shows there :yes: but IIRC the Retro show last year was fairly quiet so i`m happy to chance my arm at a later than usual meet up time for this :)

Well i did 2 runs (neither very good being a noob at this) and Jim beat me fair and square each time, well done Jim :notworthy
Run 1, Jumped out of 1st, then had a mad panic to find 2nd as the revs bounced around in the red :banghead:
Run 2, No bloody traction what so ever, mind you Jim suffered the same.
so American muscle 2, Jap thing 0
Great day out, nice to meet new faces, plenty of entertainment , weather held out. few piccies.
