Yes yes i know the title says external changes but you can see these from the outside through the windows, lol
Had a busy day today, removed the leather seats, and cleaned out and hoovered the whole interior, got the lecky aerial working, got the cig lighter working, got the fan slow speed working, got the ashtray light working, got the heater fan working on high speed with no vibration (swaped out the E reg fan motor) fitted the new cloth seats, fitted new sill cover trims and fitted white wheels... needs red calipers though, lol

The Blue leather was purple, they where quite tired on the bolsters and my old cloth seats from the E reg are virtually in perfect condition, and i actually quite like them too... so in they went! and i think they just as comfortable....

A nicer set of polished alloy finish wheels, with planer solid 5 spokes, would set that off a treat now,i never was keen on the white ones with busy spokes tbh.

I still to this day can't imagine what possessed Toyota to make the horrific yUK light clusters when they offered such a nice clean rear end everywhere else.

Like you say they transform the rear of the Supra & make it look proper & finished as opposed to a collection of Lego! Also look band up to date.

I have these coming some time Mr Terry and i cant wait, but I'm waiting on Mr Stuey for them... i went over for a test fitting a while back as my soop is sooo low i was worried they wouldn't fit BUT they do and look great!

http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/ad272/mobilemechanic_org/Supra/Upgrades/161020092508.jpg

this is on Stueys Supra, nice deep dish!
http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/ad272/mobilemechanic_org/Supra/Upgrades/061020092438.jpg

There 18x10" on the rears with 265 tyres, capable of going to 285 if arches allow which i think they will, just, the fronts are 245s but the wheel width escapes me... either way i cant wait as it will finish the car off very well!
Now im just waiting for the nod to go collect them. the nod is taking a while to come though  and im sad! :crybaby:

But i do have to say i actullay quite like my white wheels, they came out very well cos if you remember they where once satin black! and i have a set of stock size Pirelli P6000 with excellent tread to fit onto them some time!

Hey Matt, no sorry buddy as seen in previous posts there now on the GT4..

i brought these blue silicon hoses and the ally pipe last August and today AT LAST i got them fitted...

http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/ad272/mobilemechanic_org/19042010092.jpg

http://i943.photobucket.com/albums/ad272/mobilemechanic_org/19042010093.jpg

A little bit of a polish up to the under bonnet paintwork is needed at some point but apart from that i think its half acceptable!

Got to pull the stat housing cover off to fit aftermarket temp gauge sender into housing sometime, again bits i had since last August, so when i do il prolly do the cam pulley cover blue, along with the brake master heat shield, then thats it for this one, drive it, enjoy it..

mark3

Fitting the JDM rear lamps is just a case of removing the old and fititng the new, the inner brake lamp mod is listed in Stueys website guides, i think so is the electric tail gate reliease too

It's the tailgate release that's causing most discussion. Sorry, but where abouts on Stuey's site cause I can't locate it.

Anyone fitted the JDM lights and done anything different to Mark3?

Maybe im wrong about the tailgate release, i cant find it on his webby, the fog lamps are in the "mods and how to" section bottom of the 2nd section...

for the tailgate release you need a switched earth from the drivers door, and a constant + from the electric aerial, then the mondeo trunk release solenoid and the push button its self.... il see what i can dig out for you, brb

Snowy
07-03-11, 09:20 PM
That would be great! Our other thoughts were to keep the original key and lock only drill through the top right corner of the numberplate and mount the locking mechanism on the other side....

mark3

Well BRB was hours ago, im sure i covered it in depth when i fitted it to either my 1st or 2nd Supra but i cant find it????

i did it to my Aero too but i dont think it was covered as in depth as the others.... the hunt continues lol

Yeah, sorry chaps, I never got around to posting that mod properly & when Mark did his guide it put it even further on the back boiler :)

I'll sort it out sometime with all the wiring details for yUK & Imports. I did conclude the 1jz electric fan mod though so maybe half a biscuit due? :)

Mark, I now remember that thread too, I should try harder at my comedy again!

Why when I go shopping and return with a large sack of every day items like throw cussions and scatter blankets would I want to put them all down in the rain then, squeeze down the side of my car - which inevitably will now have a person bus parked up against it, despite the fact when I parked my car I made sure it was miles away from anything ... to pull a lever in the footwell to pop the trunk?

While I 'm going down fondling for some random knob, some little pr!ck will have come up behind me and grabbed my now soaking wet sack

It's simply not cricket.

Totally agree about the Cloth seats Mark . . . never really liked them on any car, you slide about too much, cold in winter, too sweaty in summer.

But most of all they ALWAYS start looking tatty, crack etc . . .whereas Toyota's cloth seats are superb quality and carry on looking new, even after 200,000 miles of driving

Certainly when I drew up the spec list for the kind of Supra I was looking for, I definitely didn't want one with leather seats !

Simon91t
08-03-11, 11:01 AM
I agree with you Roger, I don't like my leather seats even tho they are pretty good condition, I would deffo swop them for a blue cloth inside

mark3

I was defo lucky with the cloth seats in my very first supra, (was born an n/a) they was in such good condition i put them into my next Supra, the auto!
the leather seats in that was in good condition but looked like they been sprayed Purple??? lol

The seats in this Aero are also cloth and im pleased about that too, im not keen on leather seats at all unless your in a big plush luxury car, otherwise as Rog says you cant stay in the dam things! lol
