My Supra seems to have suffered from a previous owners bodgery....
Now I've started cleaning the head and block, I've found that every one of the little triangular waterways between the cylinders along the exhaust side of the engine is blocked.

In fact, as the head gasket let go, as you can see in the second picture, the mush spread out between head and block, which made getting the head bolts out more difficult because it had stuck to them.
Nasty, nasty stuff. It'll never darken my radiator ever....
Which means progress on the block is going to be slower than I thought, as I'm going to have to chip the stuff off and try and carefully clear the waterways :banghead:
Just more time and effort, although I'm still determined to make it to Jap Performance show next month. Even if I have to walk.
