If anyone is about to or has anyone replaced the steering wheel for the likes of a momo?
What happens the the electrics for the Cruise con? do u need a special boss?

would like to know this too but i don't really use the cruse con so i mite just cut the wires back and bombtail off

I dont use it either :no: , but was wondering if Cutting the wires upset the ECU?? :bigeyes:

i dont think so!!! will have a look at the wirering, i beleave all you have is a load of resistor in the streering wheel but will check later at work now

just had a look on the trsm and u have 3 resistors in and a few switcher so it will not upset the ECU at all as you have no permanent connection through the streering wheel

just as a note, if you want to swap the wheel for a momo/sparco fitting there are 2 differering momo bosses. the one they sell as a MKIII version will fit mkiii's with the older steering wheel type with no cruise control
the later ones with cruise need the boss they sell for the MKIV as this boss has a large rectangular section cut out to allow for the rotating female plug socket on copper contacts. (or so im told).
if anyone wants a boss for a pre-cruise control wheel ive got one going since i need the later one. (doh)
