Hi there guys,
The time is apon me, ive started stripping the engine down for the big power hike! I just need some advise on parts really.
Now i think im gona need a full engine gasket and seal kit, bearings big end and main (thrust?), exhaust manilfold studs n nuts, a timing belt, big end and main bolts if they need replacing and i thought it would be false ecconomy not to change the water and oil pumps while im there.
If you think there are any other parts you think would be a good investment or if any of these parts could do with being upgraded could you give me a reply. Also if you know of anywhere that would do it all at a good price id love to have the email address or phone number.
Many thanks.

Jay Marks (http://www.toyotaworld.com/) in the States, budget around £2800 for a standard rebuild

SAP will do you a full engine gasket set, this is very handy although i take it you will be wanting a MHG.
Nick at TC can supply you with Most Sizes of MHG
As for the Water pump, there aint an uprated one as such, so Toyota.
Nick can source you an uprated Oil pump from the states. He can also get you the Arp Head Bolts and main Bolts...Give him a PM
Timing belt from Toyota.
Exhaust manifold studs from any motor factor.

I recommend these guys for standard spec parts:
http://www.importcarparts.com/
Their ball joints were less than half the best UK price and when they turned up they were original Toyota items. :cheeky:
They accept PayPal, useful if you don't have a credit card.

Ive got a MHG, apr head studs and forge pistons. So i could basically get the rest from the main dealer and a motor factors place.
Do i have to replace the big end and main bolts while im there or is it ok to leave them? If its false economy not to change them id like to do it.
So there is nowt else really that you guys would say would be a good purchase and install while the engine is in bits?

I recommend doing the conrod and main bolts with ARP items.

Indeed and if you are planning BIG power then a set of Crower or Pauter billet rods wouldn't go a miss for about £800. If medium power then shot peened, polished and balanced OEM should do the trick.
There are some quite nasty tooling ridges in the both ports so you can remove these. Knife edging the valve guides for better air division creates a vortex effect (similar to the Karmann MAF) though the two inlet valves for a more efficient cylinder fill.
