car dead

went to start the car today and it is dead no dash lights nothting got a new battery and stil the same .is there any main fuse or relay that goes

"ALT" fusable link can fail, usually happens after work mind you as opposed to randomly.

Do the headlights still pop up when switched on at the stalk?

Also worth trying a new earth connection just in case the 'normal' connection has decayed.

Put a jump lead from the earth (battery connected) to a clean metalic area and try again.

Is "ALT" fusible link OK?

Suggest test lamp to check where power is actually getting to.

It has been known for a loose connection in the engine bay fuse box to cause this.
