I think if Roger doesnt mind ?? that it may be better with Mark3 who is on line everyday (way too much) so is able to respond to a request quicker.

      Just my opinion

I've got a full heads-worth of shims from my old cylinder head that I won't be needing any more, happy to add those to the collection if someone gives me an address to post them to?

Yes and i was happy to go on with that, Kai needed it so i sent it to him, Roger needs it too, he been waiting for ages apparently so Kai will send it to Roger, then we see where it goes from there!

But thinking about it the sticky thread "Club Shim Kit" should be enough to keep track of its location, instead of people spending on postage back and forward to one keeper???? unless it actually belongs to (owned by) Roger as seems to be the case?

I think everyone that uses it just bungs their spare shims in when they are finished on their head, thats why there are not many thick ones in it,

???? when did this happen I do not recall any such event Roger had the shim kit as when we started the kit Roger volunteered to keep it !!!!! "The Kit" belongs to The Club as the shims in it have been put in by the members etc etc Roger was just the keeper

This Shim Kit was actually started by me about 4 years ago (with about 72 shims) after discussions with Ed, who said that all previous attempts had failed as it would go astray . . . . . so I said I would come up with a system that worked, and this was discussed and agreed on the Forum

I agreed to let Forum members borrow it as long as they replaced my shims with discarded ones of their own . . . . some have also added a few

I would clean, measure and mark all the shims before sending them out to people, along with tips on changing them

Just an FYI - it was mailed out on saturday last week mate - with about 40 more shims in it than had arrived here, in a new tupperware tub (the cardboard box disintegrated). Should be with you guys in a day or two.

I assume it was sent to Roger then?

No worries I'll just not shim my head, it's getting started up on Friday so no chance it will be with me in time, I can't wait cause I need my car back ASAP since my knee's f**ked and I can't keep relying on Phil to give me lifts everywhere.
