      Default Prices

So a mint condition supra just went for 2300 on Ebay, a reasonable price? Just shows these 5000 plus prices are silly money.

It did have a few things going against it though that probably held down the price:

      - It's in NI, which is a bit of a small market, hard to get those cars to the UK*, and hard to import into Ireland**. Also seller's phone number is a RoI number which is a little odd.
      - Photo quality was poor
      - Auto
      - Non-turbo

I'd say they got a good price considering those disadvantages. I'd imagine it would fetch more in south-east England with some high quality pics.

      * I know there's no paperwork hassle bringing a NI car to GB, I mean that due to geography it's a bit more involved than getting your mate to give you a lift up the road to pick up your new car.
** Lots of rules to check out there, I've only got 2nd hand experience on a much newer vehicle but there were taxes to pay, NCT (MOT) to get etc etc. Think you get a couple of years grace period if you "move" but don't think you do for buying

I'd consider it a fair price really for a N/A auto. If it was a manual turbo it would be a bargain at that money (assuming the grainy pictures are not hiding problems!).

Cheap is always relative to where you are. If you live in the highlands of Scotland, good luck selling a car to anyone because there's noone to buy it.

i haven't seen your supra, but i know there are a few "exceptional" mkiii's tucked away...and 7k is not out of the way for one, (although there are some people who still think 2-3k is the max price)....

2-3k wouldn't pay for the leather in mine, let alone the rest of the car....

Yeah big variation in prices at the moment - maybe because there's also a big variation in condition. There's a few pristine ones alright.

For reference, I paid 2k this year for a very scruffy (but roadworthy + MOT'd) N/A auto with about 100k on the clock.

I'll let you know if it was a good buy when I start the rear end welding this winter! To be fair I bought it as a project so I knew it was going to take work. Should hopefully increase my bodywork skills...

Lol...it certainly will, if the rear arches have rust there's a good chance it's gone further, have you removed the plastic covers in front of the rear wheels yet?

They seem to be fine. Behind the bumper needs some work though, and inner and outer arches plus a bit up in the strut towers. I've also got a small patch on each door under the mirrors, and a bit on the boot lid, and two bits above the rear lights. Busy busy.
